on 5 January 1886 at St Margaret's Parish Church, Bethersden by the Rev'd Robert Palmer and witnessed by George Russell and Eliza Robinson. James was 23 and Minnie 18. Both James and Minnie gave their place of residence as Bethersden.Minnie Russell -

James Bourne had several brothers and sisters who lived in the Ashford area, though one sister lived in Ashford Road, Bethersden and one at Willesborough.
Minnie Russell had 3 brothers, George (eldest), Frederick and Alfred. George lived at Greenwich, London. Alfred lived at Portsea just outside Portsmouth. He had a bicycle shop. George had a son and a daughter.

William has a son named Norman (who is married to Jacquie) and granddaughter Debbie. William lives in Eastbourne. Everlyn also lives in Eastbourne.Annie
- (born 12 September 1890, died December 1987). Annie married Percy George French on 5 August 1912. He died on 10 February 1913. They had a daughter called Marjorie, who was brought up by her grandmother. Marjorie married a stable hand (Richard (Dick) Mannering) on some estate near Tunbridge Wells. - Grandparents (born 16 October 1896, died 6 August 1987). Alfred's married his first wife Violet Lillian Farmer (born 10 May 1899, died 31 January 1951) on 25 December 1920 and they had 4 children. - (born 5 February 1901, died ?). Elsie married her cousin Victor (Vic) John Ernest Saunders Russell (whose father was Frederick Ernest Russell - Minnie Russell's brother) at St Margaret's Parish Church, Bethersden on 23 December 1922. The wedding was witnessed by Elsie's brothers Albert and Alfred Bourne and Vic's sister Doris Russell. Both Elsie and Vic are now deceased. Donald (who lives in Australia) was born in 1924 and James on 3 July 1930. James (deceased) was married to Margaret. Donald married Dalal on 26 March 1949. They had 4 children: Stephen, Paul, Judith (Judy) and Robyne. Stephen now lives in England. Judy married Robert Rollington and they have 3 children, Robert (14), Sarah (12) and Russell (7) - as at 2000.

(born 4 July.1904, died 26 October 1994) married Elizabeth (Betty) and had 1 daughter Ann. Ann married John Wilson and they lived at Sleasford. After Betty died Ernest married Vera who lives in Lenham.
